Hi, My name is Don. I'm 53 years young. I enjoy good music, good
women, and old VWs. I live in New Hampshire and it is boring. I'm
looking for friendship and maybe more. I'm into old
VWs, old movies
sci fi especially campy 50s
ones, and the outdoors. A fun date would be hitting yard sales to
see what we would find. I was born in Washington,DC, grew up in
it's suburbs. For a few years, when I was in elementary school, I
lived in Macon , Ga. I love big cities, why I'm living in the
boonies has me greatly confused. I hate the idea of having to drive
90 miles just to buy something that you should be able to get
locally. I used to be a parts guy at a VW dealer. I'd like to put
together a VW that had the best parts from every year. What I'm
looking for.... A female who can be my friend, partner, accomplice,
and lover. A lady who likes to take the initiative in the bedroom
or be the cute little school girl. Someone who is open minded and
willing to try new things. Someone who enjoys being pampered or
worshipped. Likes to go out on the town or stay home and cuddle.
Probably what I'm looking for doesn't exist but I'm willing to
compromise just to be loved. It's been a long time since someone
has really loved me and I miss it greatly. From my profile and
tests many will think I'm pretty weird but really I'm just a
lovable creature that's a lot of fun to be with. I name my
automobiles. My VW already has a name. Her name is Elsa. Let me
explain....
The Bride of
Frankensteinwas played by Elsa Lanchester. Frankenstein's
creation was made from many different parts. My VW will be built
from many different parts. Elsa sounds German. I think it fits. At
one time I had a very ecclectic vinyl collection. You know records?
Lots of 12 inch singles and 45s. My ex confiscated them and sold
them all. It's hard trying to find some of the artist to replace
them.
I'm laying back at the moment. I'm trying to regroup and get on
with my life. Thinking about moving to Yuma,AZ. I like it hot and
dry. I'm sick of winters that last over half a year. I'm looking
for a 1969 or 1970
VW Beetle. Also a 1962
VW sun roof. I want to combine the two.
Ha Ha Ha it's alive it's alive Ha Ha Ha!
Smiling,
laughing, making other people laugh,
Watching movies And restoring old VWs. Doing things with my hands.
Drawing anything but people and animals.
I'm friendly and have interesting stories. I'm tall and skinny. My
ability, with my hair, to look like Kramer or Lyle Lovitt.
A) I read a lot of Isaac Asimov (robots and things) Stephen Coonts
I just read Saucer in a day,How to Keep Volkswagens Alive, a Step
by Step Manual for the Complete Idiot, Hot VWs magazines
B) Action, Comedies,
MY Blue Heaven, The Wedding
Singer, King Ralph, Captain Ron, Overboard, Sci Fi especially
1950's campy sci fi
Earth vs Flying
Saucers,I was a Teenage Werewolf, Amazing Colossal Man,
Tarantula, Giant Gila Monster,Invasion of the Body Snatchers(1956
version) and
Japanese monster movies
(They're fun to turn off the sound and add your own dialog)Old
Monster movies from the 30s(Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein,
Dracula, The Wolfman, and the Mummy),I like Boris Karloff, Lon
Chaney Jr., Bela Lagosi and Elsa Lanchester, John Waters movies,
Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble,
C) Rock, Blues, Raggae, Techno, Rockabilly
Bonnie Raitt, NRBQ, Steely Dan,
Talking Heads, Dire Straits, Shaggy, Banana Rama and Fun Boy 3,
local DC bands that did well (The Nighthawks),Marshall Crenshaw,
Warren Zevon, Beatles, Stones, REM, Bow Wow Wow, Rockpile to
include Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Root
Boy Slim, Los Lobos, Elvis Costello, Danny Gatton, Kevin Dunn,
Rachel Sweet, Billy Idol, David Bowie, Devo, George Thorogood,
Kraftwerk, Waitresses, Bob Marley, Cake, Neil Young, Ian Drury and
the Blockheads, Jessie Colin Young, BB King, Little Feat, Eric
Clapton,(Cream and Blind Faith), Brian Setzer, Joan Osborne, Frank
Zappa, Jet, Fleetwood Mac (before Stevie Nicks ruined them), the
best one hit wonders of all times Soft Cell. I also like it when a
band does a cover of someone else's song and it's as good or
better. One that comes to mind is Good Vibrations covered by Todd
Rungren or Show Biz Kids covered by Rickie Lee Jones. Joan Osborne
covered Gary Wright's song Love is Alive and she did it the way it
should have been done. I might seem like I'm into
60s-70s rock(which I am)
but I like a lot of newer bands too, I just can't think of any
right now. Some music I don't like is most rap, most hip hop, some
classical, and most opera.

Monster House(they're both off now) Bill Maher, Friends, This Old
House, lots of stuff on HGTV and DIY, Trading Spaces,(Don't get
jealous I think Amy Wynn and Genevieve are hot),Toolbelt Diva
(Norma Valley is hot too) I like her Brooklin accent. If you can
swing a hammer or run power tools you have a place in my
heart.
F)Radio
Car talk
Wait Wait don't tell me
1) TV 2) good friends 3) internet (the samba.com is my favorite web
site. It's a VW forum and classified.) All the good VW's are out
west. 4) old VWs 5) nice weather 6) Food About this, old VWs can
only be around with old VW parts so I guess I'd need them too.
My old VW project.
Whether I can find someone who I'm truly compatible with.
As of late I've been thinking about moving to Arizona or New
Mexico.
I wonder if neanderthal man had trouble with hangnails and if he
didn't why did we evolve to have them.
Why did Burger King make such tasteless commercials when their
burgers are so good?
Wendy's commercials are worse than Burger King's.
If things are so easy a caveman could do it why are some things so
complicated?
What would happen if no one died?
If the dinosaurs didn't become extinct how would we deal with them?
Would it be like a 50s sci fi where no matter what, we'd have to
kill it? Or a 60s Japanese monster movie where they destroy a whole
city?
If there is such a thing as rapture should'nt they be gone already?
They bother me.
How do people in Japanese monster movies see a monster for the
first time and automatically know it's name? (Oh my god
its'.....fill in the blank)
Morticia Addams (the Carolyn Jones one from the 60s)
Who is the female singer that does the cover of
Dancing With Myself
on the commercial for Kat Von D's new show L.A. Ink.
I wonder if OK Cupid thinks that anybody is going to read all of
this stuff that they have me keep adding.
not doing much lately. Usually watching a movie or on the internet.
That's the problem I'm experiencing too many typical Friday nights.
I have a vivid imagination (actually fantasies) but I'm really
nice.
I collect Hot Wheels and Matchbox toy cars. Don't laugh some of
them I've paid 97 cents for are worth 4 or 5 dollars now.
That OK cupid should never say add another 940 characters to my
profile because now I'm just adding things that I'm sure nobody
will ever care about. Second time I'm adding another 904
characters.
That I'd rather use a dictionary than the spell checker on my
computer.
I cried during
Herby Fully Loaded. My
favorite line from it is "she's young enough to be your daughter"
when Herby sees a new Beetle and falls for her.
And some things that I'll only tell you when I'm sure you won't run
away.
You are the least bit intrigued by me.
If you can deal with a person that isn't too concerned about
politics.
If you like to
laugh.
If you like going to
yard sales and you want to tell me
your latest score.
If you are breathing. Or not (I like the movie
Night of the Living
Dead)
Hell, message me if you hate me ;
